The Management Committee have agreed to freeze all heat charges for 2016/17, in other words there will be no increase from 1st April 2016 until 31st March 2017, when charges will be reviewed again. This means that West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative has imposed no price increases for charges to tenants from July 2014 to 31st March 2017.
The Co-operative provides all services on a not for profit basis. The heat charges are calculated to cover the costs of making the supply and to ensure that there are sufficient funds available to carry out necessary maintenance, cyclical repairs and replacement.
The Co-operative’s Management Committee, who decide the charge levels, all of whom are WWHC tenants themselves, are aware of the financial and economic difficulties many of our tenants face currently.
If you have any questions about the heating system, particularly with regard to using the system economically, please contact the Property Team at the office.
