WWHC is governed by a Management Committee who meet monthly to discuss and review the organisation’s performance. Our Management Committee member roles are voluntary and unpaid and each member is elected, in accordance with our rules, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in September each year.
It is the responsibility of the Management Committee to provide effective leadership and control by setting the organisation’s strategy and policy. The Committee also sets the overall direction of the organisation and monitor’s its performance to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Our Committee make the key decisions about the Co-operative and provide challenge and oversight over our staff team to ensure that all decisions and activity are made in the best interests of our tenants.
West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative is fully mutual with charitable status. This means that all tenants are members, and only tenants, or prospective tenants, can be members.

New Management Committee members are elected at the AGM each year. Any member joining Committee during the year will be co-opted or they will fill a casual vacancy until the next AGM.
